Trashbag uses a pressure reducer attached to the tank which actually accelerates the DE and dirt out of the tank. The bag has survived 26 lbs of dirt and DE at 30 psi for 15 minutes without bursting. The vinyl hose will burst first, and it did. The less dirt in the DE, the easier it is for the water to pass through the bag. Too much dirt could require using an additional bag.

To start, add a cup or two of DE to the tank. This will backflush first and seal the bag. To flush the tank, simply attach a hose to the pressure reducer and the other end to a DE Trashbag. Back flush 2 minutes, open and wash down, then do a final 1 minute back flush. This product is every pool service technician's dream come true for servicing a messy DE filter tank.
